EMAIL LIST RULES First of all no attatchments are allowed to be sent unless they are with an explanation as to what it is. this should keep viruses from getting passed out. MAKE SURE TO PUT A SUBJECT IN THE SUBJECT LINE Make sure that if your responding to the list from something someone posted that the subject line matches your posting if it doesnt please change it.as myself and others delete messages that the subject line doesnt pertain to my interest. so if you want people to read what you post make sure the subject line states what the body of the message is about. No forwards unless they are weight loss related since there are so many on the list now we have to cut back on the fun a little. sorry guys ;) When you want to congratulate someone on the list for a job well done or whatever please hit JUST THE REPLY BUTTON. but if your responding to a post that was for the list to respond to then hit the REPLY ALL KEY. example. hey guys this is me i just wanted to say i lost 2 lbs this week. now to reply to that message you would hit the reply button only. another example. anyone have any good fast dinner recipes using chicken? then you would reply by hitting the reply all button. HOME DOERS LIST We have what we call home doers on the email list. What this group is about, is some of us are doing the WW program at home due to health reasons or financial reasons. Only people that don't attend meetings weekly and WW online people can participate in this. And now what we do, is we weigh in, and send and email with HOME DOERS in the subject line, and inside we post how much weight we lost or gained or stayed the same. I made a few changes to the days that I will be posting, here is the new info (very slightly different from the website info). You can send me your goals anytime between now and the 3rd. Thanks, Gloria EXERCISE CHALLENGE I'd like to do an exercise challenge. They say that 12 weeks is how long it takes to make an exercise program a part of your life, so the challenge will start on January 3rd and end on March 27 (a week will run Thursday through Wednesday). Since exercise is almost as personal as rate of weight loss, please set a fitness goal for every 4 week period. For example: 2 hours of aerobic activity and 2 strength training sessions per week for the first 4 weeks, then 3 hours aerobic activity and 3 strength training sessions for the next 4 weeks, then 4 hours aerobic activity and 3 hours strength training sessions in the final 4 weeks. Send and e-mail with "exercise challenge" or EC in the to me. I'd like to include a cumulative begin and end weight in the stats, so if you feel comfortable with including your weight, please do so (I promise not to post anyone's individual weight). Be sure to include your goals and starting weight in your initial e-mail to be included in the challenge. Also include EC or Exercise Challenge in the subject line. VALENTINES DAY CHALLENGE Nicole Jorde is going to be heading up our Valentines weight loss challenge. She will be keeping track of your beginning weight, your weekly weigh ins etc. I will add more about this challenge as soon as she lets me know. Good luck and happy losing. DAILY JOURNAL CHALLENGE Here is the journal challenge in a nut shell, IF YOU BITE IT WRITE IT. It doesn't matter if you go over your points or not just make sure you write everything in your journal. This challenge it to get you to get in the habit of keeping up with your journals, not to discourage anyone. I don't want you to send in your journals, I just want you to let me know how many consecutive days you have journaled. And if you forget to journal one day then you have to start over again. Just let me know by saying "I journaled for 4 days then had to start over and so far i have journaled for 2 consecutive days and counting." I hope this makes sense to you, If not then email me and I will try to explain better. We want you to see how many consecutive days you can keep up with your journaling. Maybe we should make a contest out of this to see who can keep up with their journal the most consecutive days in a row? So remember IF YOU BITE IT WRITE IT. I am hosting a water challenge that begins Jan 1. and will run to St. Patrick's Day. The rules are the challenge are to keep track of your water intake on a daily basis and email the breakdown to me on a weekly basis on Friday. (If you prefer, you can email me your daily water intake on a daily basis.) Remember, you have to drink the minimum of 6 glasses of water a day!! I will post the weekly results of the challenge Sunday evening. I will post individual results and will recognize those that drank the most water overall for the week and also on each day. It should be a fun challenge so email me your information so we can begin on January 1!
